Am I locked into a long-term contract for lawn care?

We don't believe in trapping people in complicated contracts. Our agreement doesn't have a specific "end date"; it simply states that Utermark & Sons reserves the right to be paid for the work we do. We’re here to earn your business every time we show up.

My grass is really tall. Is that a problem?

Not a problem at all, though the first "knock-down" mow will cost a bit more depending on the height. After that first visit, every following mow stays at your regular flat price—provided you stay on the schedule and don't skip multiple weeks in a row.

Can I get my grass cut today (or just a one-time mow)?

To keep our routes consistent for our regular customers, we don't offer one-time mows or same-day service. Our process is simple: we send out an estimator to provide a quote (which we can email or leave at your door). Once you sign the proposal and provide a down payment for the first cut, we’ll get you right onto our scheduled maintenance rotation.

What is included in your lawn maintenance services?

Our standard lawn maintenance includes professional mowing, string trimming around all obstacles, and blowing clippings off your driveways and walkways to keep your property looking sharp.

We’ve been a South Suburb staple since 1994. We provide lawn maintenance in Homewood, Flossmoor, Tinley Park, Oak Forest, and Frankfort areas in the South Suburbs, as well as Northwestern Indiana areas like Munster and St. John.
